You can't hide from me forever, muse!
Title: Do Not Go Quietly... (3/?)
    Author: obsidian179
Rating: PG-13, at least so far.
Disclaimer: Grey's Anatomy is the property of ABC and Shonda Rhimes - though considering the treatment they've been giving it, I'm starting to think there should be some kind of DCFS-equivalent for television shows.
Summary: This was NOT how Callie wanted to leave things...

Author's notes: I've come to the realization that I hate moving. Not only does it take forever, disrupt my life, and require a LOT of boxes (more then I really had when I started), but it also seems to chase away the muse. But I'm finally all settled in, so let's get this show back on the road.

She wished irony had a physical avatar, so she could punch it in the face. )

    Okay, I can explain...
Well, sort of. As it happens, I just moved into a new apartment. That whole process played merry havoc with the muse, but she seems to have recovered, so I now give you the much delayed second half of Chapter 2 of Prometheus Unbound.

See part 2.1 for comments, disclaimers, and the like. )

It's not an update, but it is something...
My first attempt at an actual music video. May not be the best ever, but... Well, hopefully you'll like it. Just wanted to make sure you guys knew I hadn't forgotten about you. ^_^

    Cherry Blossom: Revisited Chapter 4 - (04/05/2009)
I know! I'm as stunned as you are! An actual update!

Maybe it's the muse's birthday present to me?

Where was a minigun when you actually needed one? )

    A rare non-fiction update.
I know, I know, it's been a while since I've posted anything here. As some of you may know, there are a few reasons for that, with the muse not liking winter being only one of them. I've been having a little computer trouble again, and since the last time that happened I had to buy an entirely new hard drive for my computer, this makes me nervous. Also, I've been in the beginning stages of moving (that is, looking for an apartment), and this is also distracting. Add to that having to work a very unfulfilling job at Wal-Mart (I've actually been looking for freelance writing work online, but as you can guess, that just takes up even more of my time) and the fact that the sister I see maybe a few times out of the year seems to care more about my upcoming birthday then the rest of my family put together (or much of anyone else, really), and maybe you can understand what's taking me so long.

I don't want to make excuses (God knows, there's probably been a fair bit of laziness in there somewhere, too), but I thought that those who actually read my fic - and there must be SOME of you out there that do ;) - might want to know that I haven't forgotten about you.

Oh, and for the one or two of you that might care - and you know who you are - my Amazon.com wishlist can be found here:

    My Amazon.com Wish List.

(Please note, this is not an attempt to ask for bribes or payment of any kind. Most of you can - and should, and probably will even without my saying anything - ignore that. Okay? Okay.)

    Sadhana (2/2) (2/09/2009)
Well, it took some doing, but I finally managed to track down, capture, and drag back the muse. The result was this. I just hope people still care about it after so long.

It was love. It didn't need to make sense. )

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas...
    Title: Sadhana

Author: That'd be me. *grins* Andrew, Obsidian, call me what you want. But only if it's nice. ;)

    Rating: PG-13, I'd say.

Comments: Another year, another Christmas story, right? This time, though... Well, it's going to be an AU of my AU story, which is a little weird, but in a good way, you know? Besides, the girls deserve this. This story ignores the events of Prometheus Unbound completely, picking up several months after the conclusion of Pantheon.

Legal Disclaimer: I do not own 'D.E.B.S.', Angela Robinson does. Though if I had my way, there would have been a sequel or two by now. ;)

Title: Do Not Go Quietly... (2/?)

Author's notes: I apologize for the long wait, but sometimes the muse just doesn't want to cooperate, and this time of year, I don't have as much writing time as usual. Anyway, I did promise that I would include someone other then Callie and Mark in this chapter, so I will do just that. Maybe even more then one. ;)

People may still well be OOC, I dunno. But given how the show's evidently been progressing, would that be such a bad thing? ;) And this chapter has music! All By Myself lyrics (modified as they are) by Eric Carmen, Leaving On A Jet Plane lyrics (lyric?) by John Denver, and This Time lyrics by Melanie Chisholm.

    And away we go...

    Prometheus Unbound - ch. 2.1 (12/06/08)
I'm actually not even finished with chapter 2 quite yet, but I thought you'd all been more then patient enough with me so far, so I'm giving you (most of) what I have now, and the rest will follow once I have it completed. ^_^

Don't worry, I'm not abandoning any of my DEBS fics. This is just something I had to get out first. (Ye gods, FOUR stories at once. I must be insane.

Title: Do Not Go Quietly... (1/?)
    Author: obsidian179
Rating: PG-13, at least so far.
Disclaimer: Grey's Anatomy is the property of ABC and Shonda Rhimes - though considering the treatment they've been giving it, I'm starting to think there should be some kind of DCFS-equivilant for television shows.
Summary: This was NOT how Callie wanted to leave things...

Author's notes: You know, I've never written fic for a show that I've never actually seen a single episode of. (I have seen clips on Youtube and read the fic of others, though. Not quite the same, I know, but at least it seems to have spared me some monumental stupidity on the behalf of ABC...) However, I find that I can't quite just let this sort of thing go by unremarked upon. That, and the muse can be a sucker for some angst. Anyway, please forgive any mistakes or minor mischaracterizations.

    And away we go...

    Cherry Blossom: Revisited Chapter 3 - (11/09/2008)
I hate it when offline things conspire with the muse to keep me from writing. But in the end, victory was mine! ;) So, here's the first of what I hope will be several updates.

    I'm back!
Okay, so technically I didn't actually GO anywhere. Feh. Details. ;)

I apologize for my lack of online presence, but I've been busy working on something. No, not the next chapter of one of my current stories (though that is next on my list of things to get done), but a trailer for my new upcoming story. (Yes, you read that right. Three at once. Here's hoping I can pull that off.) There was a teaser trailer for it (the first time I actually did something like that for a fic, I believe), but I didn't post it here because, well, quite frankly, it sucked. ;) This one, though...

PowerDirector likes me a LOT more then Windows Movie Maker. ^_^ Hope you like it. The idea for this story has been brewing for months (at least). You've wanted it, you've asked for it (and you know who you are *winks*), and now you're going to get it. See? Good things DO come to those who wait. ^_^

(Why is it hosted on MySpace, you ask? Well, because Universal's a bitch really mean, and had Youtube block my video in some countries (like America) because I used some content owned by them. It's not like I'm making a profit off of this, or ever claimed to film it myself. *eyeroll*)

Anyway, enjoy, and let me know what you think afterward. Not just about the video - though feedback on that would certainly be appreciated, as I put a lot of effort into making this - but what it's about, as well. ^_^

    This isn't an update...
Hopefully, I'll be updating one of my stories soon. As people who've been here a while know, though, I do occasionally post non-fic-related entries here. This is one of them.

And no, it isn't a 9/11 post. I've said all I really feel like saying about that elsewhere.

I've always heard you could buy anything off of the internet, but I didn't think it was literally true. Evidently I was wrong. Back in 2004, an 18-year-old British girl apparently tried to sell her virginity on eBay, before moving the auction to her own website when eBay pulled the plug. The price, as best I can tell, was £8,400.

She is being investigated for soliciting by Avon and Somerset police.

I heard about this on the radio today - which makes me wonder if there was some kind of recent development I just didn't see - and I just had to find out more.

And now, if I may address a question to any and all females reading this... What the fuck?

I think this would have actually been out sooner, if I hadn't kept being interrupted over the past few days whenever I was trying to write. ;)

Title: Cherry Blossom: Revisited (chapter 1/?)

Author: That'd be me. *grins* Andrew, Obsidian, call me what you want. But only if it's nice. ;)

Rating: R. And not for the usual reason, either. ;)

Comments: Huzzah! *gestures with dramatic flourish* I now present to you the first chapter. (It's still an AU.) Enjoy!

Legal Disclaimer: I do not own 'D.E.B.S.', Angela Robinson does. Though if I had my way, there would have been a sequel or two by now. ;)

I do feel a bit bad about kinda cheating you all out of a final interlude for Sensory Pleasure, so I decided to try and do something about it. No, I didn't come up with something else for that story - I meant it, there was really nothing I could do with that - but I did remember that there was one other unfinished interlude I hadn't written... for Monica and Kathleen from Pantheon. ^_^

It's fitting, really, that the couple from my first interlude for Pantheon will also be in the last. A nice way to bring everything full circle.
